and I'm considering becoming a microbrewer.
there's the opening confession now for a bit more detail.
I'm leaving the forces in 18 months and have spent a lot of time recently trying to find something that i want to do for a living. I'm not particularly interested in carrying on in my current trade (aviation) mainly because of the amount of work I'll have to re-do to civilianise my qualifications, and I want to work for myself.
there's a few different things that I'm considering so I'm doing a fair bit of research to find out the real truth behind small business and the pitfalls that are waiting to catch the unweary. I dont homebrew beer as a hobby, and generally the percieved wisdom is 'don't try and turn your hobby into a living 'cos you'll end up hating your hobby', I believe there's a lot of truth in that. my hobbies btw are motorbikes, cycling and beekeeping.
so thanks to TRXnME I'm here, and I've ordered 'the microbrewers handbook' as a starting point.
