That time of year looms again for the lucky ones!
As ever it seems to be getting earlier! Retail driving it to squeeze every penny out of the punters to keep afloat in many cases.
Anyway...love it or loathe it,there's the accompanying music...
My favourites...
Whitney Houston,Do you hear what I hear. If you've not listened to this you need to! Whitneys voice and range is just incredible!
Elvis and Martina McBride,Blue Christmas. Pure class!
Shaky,Merry Christmas Everyone. Super stuff from the Welsh rocker! Delayed it's release by a year because he knew it would compete for the No1 spot against Whams Last Christmas.
What's your festive favourites?

I have many too and as with most music it changes with time but just a couple.
Wham last Christmas
Pentatonix Carol of the Bells
The Pogues Fairytale of New York

There are excellent Christmas albums by Bob Dylan, James Brown and Sufjan Stevens.. but I will resist the urge to listen to any of them until Christmas!

I tend to go on holiday at Christmas and leave those that enjoy it to celebrate without having to hear me whinging about it.

I do have a favourite Christmas song though. Hayes Carll - Grateful for Christmas.

It could bring a tear to a glass eye.

Well I'm liking this thread. Some great picks. I'm a trombone player - jazz and brass bander, so I start rehearsing all my Christmas music in October/November. That's all part of being a musician though.
I adore anything jazzy at Christmas. But for me, my favourite Christmas song will always be Brenda Lee's Rockin Around the Christmas Tree.
