Hi Guys,

My Hammer of Thor brew fermentation has really slowed down after only 5 days.
This is the first brew I have that has slowed down so quickly, it's also the first one that seems to have separated out into 3 layers
1 layer is around the height of the tap,
2nd layer is around 1/3rd from the bottom
3rd layer is the top 2/3rds
The bottom 3rd containing 2 layers looks milky and the top 2/3rds are darker but look clearer.

This may be normal for this kit but as I've not done this one before I thought I would ask.

Looks fine to me! It's still fermenting but slowly down probably..it'll compact as time goes by.
I see you have the New World Saison ? there...that's a great kit!

Thanks Clint, the New World Saison is the next one that will be ready to drink, I'm really looking forward to it, the box from it is currently home to my Tate & Lyle sugar sticks !

Hi Mark
How did the beer turn out? Have you tried any yet?
I am about to start a batch of hammer of thor tomorrow

Hi Lee,

I bottled it a week ago today, so I haven't tried it yet.

I had initial worries which Clint put me straight on but after that all went well, I put a bottle up to the light and it's clearing nicely.

Hi Lee,

I tried a bottle tonight and I'm really happy with it, even my wife who doesn't drink beer tasted it and said she liked it.
It's still quite young but it's good.

I will be ordering more !

Hi Mark

Thanks for the update. Brilliant news that turned out well. I am due to bottle mine tomorrow. That will be 14 days but I still have about 2 inches on that top that’s a different colour so I may leave it for another 5 days.

Hi Lee,

It's clearing nicely and tastes good, it's not as strong as the Evil Dog at around 6% Vs 7.50 for the dog but it's plenty strong enough !

I hope you are as happy with yours.

I've got a Cooper's preachers wheat beer in the FV now with 1/2 kg of spray wheat and 1kg of dextrose, it's bubbling away like a good 'un
