Greetings from a beginner

Hi Folks,

Just a quick bit about myself. I live in the Orkney Islands and as I have just bought a house I now have room to get round to doing some brewing. I've always wanted to give it a go but never had enough space to do it before.

Only problem is I have no real idea where to start. Any tips would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I've had a bit of a look round the site and there seems to plenty of info on hand. Not sure about the all garin venture question, but I think I'll look through the brewing guides and see how it goes.
