Hi
Anyone know if there is a converter to use the Grainfather G30 - 120v 60hz machine in the UK on 240v 50hz please? Thanks

I'd imagine a standard 3kva transformer would be fine here (depending on the connection on the unit) but prob best to confirm with Grainfather so you don't blow any circuits

Edit:
Actually scratch that, sorry, head was in work mode for power tools, this won't work

That is be a bit small at 1500w

US model is 120v 60hz 1600 watts.

Given that these are Chinese plug in bonfires and that it will get long runs (60mins) flat out, I would overrate this by some margin.

I would pay another £20 to not burn my kitchen down.

Meh, 10v.

EDIT: 114 is the lower threshold across the pond, tighter tolerance than us. I still doubt it would be an issue.

230v system would be my choice though.

3kva Transformer was my first thought too but on reflection I'm assuming this has an ameriacn plug so that won't be plug and play the way 110v power tools are so that won't work

It was my first thought too Tbh. But then Doc Emmett Brown lead me astray 😁😁

These are sold as 110/120v transformers so yes. A better solution too (quality).

For what it's worth I would not trade it in Just to change the voltage this is only a resistive load not inductive so just get the wattage right.

Cheaper too. £30 should cover it.

If the op can change a plug brilliant.
If not buy a new lead... https://www.bes.co.uk/110-v-to-iec-power-lead-23158/

Thank you for all the replies. I was looking at this as it was for sale locally to me, I don't already own it. Sounds like it'd best to leave it alone as its not an easy solution to be able to use it. Thanks again

Ask the seller how they've been running it.
