What have you done today for the first time.

Today I have had Mussels. In a white wine sauce with Garlic bread. A little like eating rubberized sea water really.

Iced a Christmas cake...

I soon realised that if I ever do it again, I need a power tool to mix the icing!

I'm gonna get in before Moley
It's Mussels

I had to carry a 27 year old policeman to his house over my shoulder while he was singing the twelve days of Christmas but basically repeatedly shouting "5 Gold Riiiiiiiiings!!!!"

Definitely not my fault, I didn't pour it down his neck :nono:

1am so technically I did do this 'today' :thumb:

had my first snowball.ive always wanted to try one after the royle family having on, got myself a bottle of advocaat and lemonade. 'tis loverly! I also bottled my first ever tom caxton lager kit if that counts!

My first today was telling a work colleague that I know he kissed my wife then invited her 'somewhere quieter' on friday night. Not something I ever thought I'd have to do.

I think you mussels were over cooked if they were rubbery, they should have a creamy texture.

I used to grew them along with oysters and salmon, in scotland and always dreaded the Christmas party because guess what we had, Yep all the above oh and venison (it was a shooting estate).

I let one of the dogs eat the end off a gingerbread house that my daughter spent several hours making and icing yesterday :(  :nono:
She is not home from work yet so she doesn't know yet :) think I will go down to the Brewery and watch the frozen pipes. Some beer down there :hmm: :drunk:
If this is my last post, happy Christmas to you all

Went and bought the wife a condenser tumble drier, brought it home and then 'stacked it on top of the washing machine in the utility room :!:

Wish I hadn't done the lifting now  too bloody old for that caper these days and already had two heart attacks

Don't think I'll be doing any more of that after today :nono: leave it to you young guns  Older but not yet wiser

 Ouch! Do you want to rethink that wording, or is male chauvinism alive and well up North?

And yes, I know how to work a washing machine and a tumble drier :thumb:

.... although those flat, hot, steamy ‘iron’ things are a complete mystery to me.
