Hi there
I LOVE MY BEER HOPPY :) so I have a batch of IPA just finishing 1st fermentation and have an extra pack of Citra Dry Hop Pellets
Question is when I pop the pellets on top of the brew how long should Iet it be before I keg ? I hear that 2 days is good for a fresh hoppy aroma and tase, is this so or should it be longer?
Many many thanks

Interesting question. I've made the Youngs and MYO American IPA kits and as I recall both recommend dry hopping for the final three days. Some people seem to do it longer. Although logically you will get more hop flavour the more time hops spend in contact with the beer, there seems to be a risk of a grassy taste developing if you go on too long, so I don't think it's advisable to leave them in there for (say) a week. Although I've not tried it, so someone may be along to advise that their experience is to the contrary!
