Corker problems

Just got a corker and thought I would try it out.
Problem is the corks got stuck halfway through the corker!

I've got it soaking and will dig it out tomorow but any ideas where I went wrong?

The corker is the 2 lever type and the corks are normal natural type with straight sides. I didn't soak the corks though maybe that's the problem?

some corks require soaking and some are wax or silicon coated that don't need soaking! guessing if its got stuck you have the ones that need soaking!

Just tried it again after soaking a cork and it worked fine.

Think I soaked it for too long though as the middle got pushed in further than the edges.
Will try for a shorter time next.
