Hi guys..Just want to know if anyone here has grown the above? I just ordered some and also bought the Spraymalt 500g 100% Malt Extract extra light, also going to use 500g of castor sugar instead of dextrose (corn sugar) because of the expense.
I will start this in a few weeks, maybe a little longer as I already have a brew in my keg ..
Cheers.. :D

Fermenting one of these at the moment, think it won't turn out great as its sitting at around 25c

Shall see though, I brewed mine using 1kg brewing sugar and added 20L mineral water

I've had a few Canadian blondes in my time, I've made the Coopers kit too ;) It's quite a nice drink, somewhere near Coors or Molson, sweet with a hint of hops.

The temperature should be fine, it's an ale yeast and Coopers is an Australian company, I believe they have fairly high temperatures over there.

good luck on your brew..Hope it tastes nice. :thumb:

I was getting no bubbles with the air lock so decided to use a syphon tube and let the other end go into a cup of water.
In 10 seconds there was bubbles galore. :thumb:
But it's annoying so I had to push down the tube deeper to stop the bubbling because I don't want to hear that all night in bed lol .. I get up and move it higher again when I get out of bed to start the bubbling . I have added some layers of bubblewrap and used a sweater to keep it warm so temps are about 18c to 19c

OK,it's been 4 days now and the bubbling has already stopped..How can this be? It was bubbling away every 4 seconds last night then just completely stopped! Is this normal?

Hi Mine's stopped after 4 days too! I haven't checked the gravity yet but had a quick look and not much activity. How did you get on with yours New brewer?

Bottled this about a month ago. Tastes good :thumb: but it is a bit cloudy :? . This is the first beer kit i have done so i amnot sure if it should be clearer?

I tried another bottle earlier. It was much clearer - in fact as clear as I was expecting. How gassy should it be? Mine are very gassy. I poured into a glass and it settled with the head short of the top. Came back a few mins later and the head had grown - all over the woktop  . I drank a bit and put it down again (tasted good :D ) then sat back and watched the head take on a life of it own as it grew to the point of spilling again.

Onto my 3rd bottle of the evening of this :D

Definately a winner, been bottled about 7 weeks and is now one of my favourire Coopers kits. Have given a few away and all my mates love it. I brewed it short to 21L and put a bit of extra sugar in each bottle, got plenty of gas and cleared really quick, although it clouds back up if I chill it too much in the fridge (clears again as it warms up as you're drinking it). Definately gonna do this one again.

oh go on. Just this one, and try the Munton's Midas Touch Golden Ale as well........

Started one of these off last Wednesday , I've added a can of Coopers LME to it.

I'm not sure whether to keg it or 'tap a draft' it so I can put some in the fridge . Is it a beer that's best served chilled?

I think it's best served cold personally but then I don't much like anything warm and not gassy!
