I've had a couple of brews recently that have frothed up and out through the airlock and then dried up and is all stuck to the inside of it. I've tried pouring boiling water through them and soaking in hot water with washing up liquid but I cant seem to shift it. Does anyone have any good tips for clearing this out?

Thanks
Chris

I use oxi clean for getting gunk out of hard to reach places (syphons, bottling wands, jerry can FV's). Really does the job but you need to rinse properly

+1 for basic unscented laundry oxi, a soak in a warm solution for upto 20 mins or so will shift almost anything ;) rinse through by holding under a cold tap sealing with your fingers best u can and expect a squirt in the face ..

you dont need much i use 1 perhaps 2 scoops per 5gallon bucket soak..

Laundry oxi + starsan no rinse sanitiser is the easiest (least work),and cheapest (in the long run) cleaning/sanitation combo im aware of
