Brewfreezer?

Hi All

I have a small cabinet freezer and was wondering if I could connect an STC1000 controller to the thermostat for conditioning and with a heater tube for the fermenting? Or would the mechanics of the freezer not allow it to reach a refridgerator temperature? Also would a 60w heater tube be ok to acheive a correct fermenting temp in the cabinet?

It would work absolutely fine, with the added benefit of colder temperatures for crash cooling.

You could also use it for accelerated lagering.

Thanks very much for the quick replys gentlemen, just had a look at the freezer and i think it may be to small to get an FV in it, so will be on the look out for a larger chest freezer, should be able to get 3 brews going in that!
