Want to put an avatar on my posts. Anyone tell me how to re size an image down to the requierd 6mb.

I downloaded something called "avatar sizer" for free, which worked well.

Either im not using it proper :wha: but all that seems to do is change the pixel size I want to change the file size from like 40mb down to 6mb. Im a complete technophobe

Probably the same thing as Wez uses, but the wifes a photographer and uses Free pixresizer

I use one of her photos as my avatar, sadly it looks naff shrunk to avatar size

i use photoshop, you will need to resize your image then use a program to optimise the image for the web
so do a search for an image optimiser.
