Not exactly an insomniac here, I love my sleep but the dog woke me up at 4.00am for a pee and that’s it. Wide awake. So I’m sat in the shed here at 5am waiting for the water to come up to temp. 51 degrees C. Won’t be long now :)

Can’t beat an early start, there’s always the brewers breakfast to look forward to

It's an hour later here (07:00) but I've just turned on the sparge kettle and am about to weigh grain.

I bet you built your own bread making gadget too.

Sunday morning. Lying in bed with a book and a cup of tea. Might get up mid morning and pootle around with some racking and bottle labels. Sit in front of the fire for the rest of the day in the knowledge of a job well done and listen to the wind and the rain outside while musing over the next recipe.
It's a hard life, innit!

When I’m brewing I tend to get up at six or earlier to make a start tend to mean I am done by 10 and ready for breakfast.

Today however is Sunday I briefly got up to pitch the yeast for yesterdays brew as it has cooled now and get a cup of tea. I’m now trying to work out if there will be a brief dry spell this morNing or if I can face walking to the newsagent in the rain for the paper.

I quite like walking in the rain as long as I can stay dry - with this wind that’s going to be unlikely 😕

Yesterday I had a Lazy morning and started my Pilsner quite late, it was dark when I finished cleaning. My grainfather was a little burnt at bottom so I’d left water and pbw to soak !
Will need a rinse
OG came good though at 1.060 and 24L in my fermenter clapa
