Nah, need to empty some bottles for my next brew! Anyway beer is liquid bread and bread is a food staple so I see it as part of a healthy and balanced diet
I've been forced off the beer due to a bout of labrynthitis (extreme dizziness from inner ear viral thing) since 27th December. Almost back to normal now but couldn't drink (didn't want to) while on the dizzy tablets.
May have a few beers this weekend, have bought myself a couple of half pint glasses (Sharps doombar) off ebay with the good intention of trying to drink halfs instead of pints. Will see how long it lasts !
how many of you are willing to keep a beer diary for a year charting how many pint you've drunk etc.
I can't be arsed but if anyone can it might be quite interesting.

I had viral labyrithitis many years ago, I found the meds didn't make much differencxe and spent a large proportion of my day sitting in a chair trying not to move my head because it made me feel dizzy and queasy. The only thing I found DID help was a beer or two - after one I could walk around my flat, after two I could walk to the pub!!
I do think a few dry days a week is a good idea though.
I didn't fancy any beer when bad with it, back to normal now but reduced the beer intake quite a bit.
Had 1.5 pints Friday night after 2 weeks dry then 4 pints on Saturday night - had a really bad nights sleep on Saturday night.
Would agree with others about not drinking does have me feeling a lot more alert - going to try only drinking on a weekend and limit to 2-3 pints if possible then.
Proper occasional nights out wiith the lads will still be boozy affairs no doubt.
