Mine went in bottles a couple of days ago. I'll reserve judgement on whether it's good enough to send out. The draught version seems good though. :thumb:

Actually using Alemans guides

Can we agree on something like this:

We brew a Bitter

1.042 to 1.048
36 to 40 IBU

Using ANY or ALL of the following:

Pale
Crystal
Chocolate
+ 1x Brewers Choice Grain

Fuggles
Goldings
Challenger
+ 1x Brewers Choice Hop

Yeast = Brewers Choice

In the end I did stick to the rules. OG 1.045, 36IBU, Pale Malt, Dark Crystal, Challenger, Goldings and "Yeast".

I'm taking my first attempt on a sailing weekend this weekend as I missed fg by a few points (it will be fine for a few drunken sailors). Fortunately my Second Chance was second time lime lucky.

I've got to Add the dry hops to mine, and then I'll bottle it a week later. I was planning on doing it today . . . but decided to pick the meager crop of fuggles from my 3YO plant . . . only 250g but its the first harvest I've had, the others were ruined by wind and rain at the wrong time. I guess I'll get about 50g dry . . . so enough for a flavour addition . . . I'll dry hop tomorrow

Now i'm back i've decided i'm going to join in. None of you will get a bottle as i'm gonna drink it all myself and you'll all be ashamed of your meagre brews compared to my murky pond water. Or something like that.

And i'd be disqualified anyway cos i'm not using pellets anymore and i have none of your fancy smancy pom hops. :lol: I just hate missing out on something.

i reckon you've still got time mate... there's still some people sorting out their's by the looks of it... we dont mind leaving your bottles to condition a while

so when are we gonna swap? my cornie of hedgehog bitter is starting to run low and i'm starting to eye up the 8 bottles awaiting transportation :twisted:

i was gunna send you guy my rauchbier too but it was soo bloody nice it got drunk in less than a week i've got one bottle left, and i'm gunna save it for new year

Tried one last night. Seems to have carbed up OK so it's ready to go. I don't want to send loads out and would prefer swaps. Anyone interested? PM me - first three get one.

Mine has been in bottle for three weeks now and is starting to drink really nicely - imo :whistle: .

I already have two swaps sorted out. Suppose another two won't break the bank so pm if interested.
