Looks like a great brew to kick off the obsession Snail... have a cracking brewday. As it's a sunday, I hope you put aside a pint for our dear lord

Sorry .. I've had a particularly bad day and I'm getting my jollies wherever I can!

Don't mean to steer off topic. But I just happened to be thinking about that water into wine story this morning. Did you ever do the math and realize that he made at least 120 gallons of wine for that wedding reception?! Dude knows how to party.

Going to get a head start for tomorrows brew by weighing the grains and hops out tonight. Ive seen all the pic's of grain bills all nicely sectioned off. Now do you mix the grains before putting in the mash tun or are they added in a specific order??. Also I will be useing the tin foil on top of the mash approach. Do I put this on when I close the tun for the 90 min's or when I open the tun for the sparge??.

Mix all your grain up before you put it in the tun and put your foil on top after the mash :thumb:

Have fun

Have a good day, hope all goes well for you. :thumb:
Write all the what to do's down before, take your time and enjoy the experience of losing your cherry :D

Go for it Snail, best of luck, you've got the whole Forum behind you.
Like many others on the Forum, when I did my first AG, it was me and a book!

Ok, where is he?
Come on Snail, it's time the liquor tank was on, we're waiting with bated breath.

Good luck, but I'm sure you won't need it :thumb:

Have another read of BrewStew's guide while the mash is on.
