advice for newbie needed please

Hi all, I am just getting into brewing and would like to make small batches to begin with, so as to get used to sanitising, bottling etc.
My question is could I get a one can kit and make it up to 10 litres or so with no extra fermentables? would it be over hopped as it is meant to be diluted to 20+ litres?

I'm sure you could brew a kit that way. And yes the bitterness would be higher than intended.
But you seem aware of that so I suggest you choose a kit with that in mind.

I't many years since I have played with a kit so hopefully some others will give more advice. :thumb:

Brewing a 23L kit to only 10L sounds a little too short IMO. If you bought a two can kit you could brew one can at a time... extra hassle though. Failing that, some of the Brewferm kits are only meant to be brewed to 9 or so litres.

thanks for the replies. i'll check out the brewferm kits. I am tempted to jump straight in with all grain but think I should learn to walk before running as they say
