    They were indeed, at one time it was the womens role to make the beer for the home. Mainly because it was labour intensive and someone had to be with it all the time, women were at home to see to it.

    Corny Keg Poppet

    the O rings do need to be checked often, but the poppets do not need removing on every fill. Just chuck the whole lot in a bowl of sanitizer each time you clean the keg.

    A supermarket " bag for life " is a good idea escpecialy if you put a few holes in bottom to let rain out and to deter folks from walking off with it.
