Bottle my first go with fruit using 3kg of damsons from neighbours tree this weekend . After reading you comments I waited until they were falling a very ripe. Batch 2 in Demi John. Tastes drinkable but best left as long as possible before curiosity gets the better of me !

Same here, yeast is hungry and usually gets cracking on the sugar soon as it’s in the bottle!

Should have plenty of aroma if they are ready, should be just turning at touch brown on the tips. Maybe wild hops aren’t as potent as the commercial varieties?

Today I brewed a modified version of last years damson wheat beer. Swapped 500g of MO for Munich and added 100g of dextrin and oats. Using 3kg frozen Damsons on day 3 after vos kveik has gone nuts after a 40c pitch and wrap. Still wondering if North Kent water needs some more treatment than...
