If you wish to use ribena i would suggest using the 1L cartons of ready to drink juice, they are available in most supermarkets and don't contain preservatives.

My dad did a similiar 'brew and dispense from the same bag' beer a few years ago, and has never touched a drop of homebrew since.. it was that bad. For that price you could pick up a Wherry kit and a bucket in the wilko sale.

I think your £30 offer was fair, if you just want the bottles then put an offer in for the bottles and maybe the FV, you probably already have the rest and dont need spares.

It will take much longer than the kit says, you should be looking at weeks if not months until you are drinking it. Give it plenty of time to finish, then drop clear.. And then a good bit longer before bottling. Once bottled it'll take a week or two to carbonate in the warm and a week or two in...

A carafe I think is what I have. But yes I rack mine a few times, and cool it in the fridge to get as much sediment to drop as possible

Since I started racking kits in to a clean demijohm and leaving it to clear and mature a bit before racking again in order to bottle I havn't had any noticable sediment in my wines. With the old bottles left which do I usually decant them in to something else to serve....there is a correct term...
