Just brought Challenger and Fuggles plants to put over on the allotment - gonna have to wait for March to plant them and find a good framework to help them climb. Got several ideas from the internet, but does any other grower have a framework over 10 foot or know of a sound growing method?

Yep some sugar dissolved in some cooled boiled water temp <25 deg/C. It seems to have just clogged together , no fiz or gas from it when opened after near on 24 hours.

@gurt - British Real Ale by Graham Wheeler Well brew day completed without any major problems - looks like im getting into the swing of things now! :D Cooling down in the bath in two tubs did the trick - had to take it out half way theu of course because SWMBO wanted to get into the shower...

yeah i use brew mate works out ok for me and its freesoft. I will have to look up some other stouts and see how much and type of hops are used in thier brews. cheers

Tried this brew recently and i was amazed by the taste so i promised to make some soon as i was established. The Net curtain is now a permanent addition to my mash tun - works qite well and help me clearup quickly afterwards, although my Italian neighbour is now asking what the strange smell is...

yeah, sadly it was both tubs that went over the bath level was then half full - i should have bathed in it, but it was too cold :( I'm not detered in anyway i will start my next brew on Monday Brewing Gods hear me!!!!

Damn damn damn damn!!! Tried cooling down the wort in the bath in two bins, nipped out because someone was at the door returned and i forgot to turn the bloody tap off - result half a bath full of my wort!!! Ditched it! Note to self - dont ever leave the tap on again :evil: :evil: :evil:
