    a bit skint but want to do a brew this weekend

    im a bit skint so i was thinking of doing a cider kit and using normal sugar. now what i have learned on here is if you use normal sugar it leaves a cider taste in beer so it should be great for cider. whats is a good buget cider kit. something like strongbow would be good . cheers

    i have been collecting glass bottles from my local pub and still have not got all the ones i need, so what i will have to get is some 500ml spring water from tescos at £1.88 for 8 and ill need 32 so its £7.52 or i can get 2ltr spring water bottels at 12p each, so i need 13 which is £1.56. now...

    just a little in the bottom if i turn one upside down it goes. and iv just noticed the same in my lager, is this normal for bottles, i guess you get sediment in the bottom of kegs

    just couldnt wait its my first ever home brew and its a coopers lager and im really shocked how nice it is, im not even much of a lager drinker, i used to be but im more into stouts and real ales , so i cant wait till i try them . well happy should have done this homebrew lark years ago. :party:

    do i have to sanitize spring water bottles

    im about to bottle my stout and iv got tesco 500ml spring water bottles can empty the water and then use cause they should be clean or do i have to sanitze them all

    tested my stout again today and it still on 1012 like yesterday, but its only 3 days into brewing, will i get the same reading 2 days in a row and then it will drop again

    checked my stout today and is on 1012 , on the instutions it says bottle it beween 1010-1008 after 6 days, when it get to that reading and it before six days is oi ok to bottle. when i bottle , im using 500ml bottles, how much sugar and iv got some brewing sugar left so is it better to use that...

    its now 24 hours since i started the brew and its not started to bubble yet , when i did my larger brew it was bubbling by now is this normal for stout
