I have just done this and it does not taste of ginger at all yet the stuff that went down the sink smelled very nice indeed.. think I should just give it up as a bad job and let it go the way of the rest of it...... :(

I had a go at making a ginger plant in the hope of making some ginger beer.. followed the instructions to the letter as well as and exploding bottle it tasted awful :sick: and felt it was a waste of time. I have tried to rescue this by putting the remaining liquid into a DJ and added more...

Most advise of soaking in hot soapy water will work, but there are times when the labels are just too sticky and need a little more encouragement. I find once I have removed as much as possible with soap and water I dab a little parafin onto a cloth and rub it over the jar/bottle bobs your...
