Hi all
This was my first try at homebrew after twenty odd years. I brewed it middle of May for sixteen days in FV. Like everyone else the initial few days saw mental activity. Covered the floor at one stage with a snakelike yellow foam. I left it outside for a few days to clear then kegged it in a cornie. I gave it a blast of co2 and left it in the warm for a week. Three weeks later I have it on tap and have had a few goes at it. Worked out about six abv and five pints has me away with the fairies:whistle:
It has a massive white creamy head that tastes amazing and has a really intense hoppy taste and smell. It could be clearer, not sure if this is due to being young or me running it through a beer cooler. I also have a lot to learn about the kegging game as I would like it slightly more fizzy. I figure chilling it better would help having read the tips on here.
I intend to do more of this although I have a St peters IPA to do first.
