Just making a 5l Wine ... bunged the yeast in when still way over temperature 30+.

What now ?

Wait till comes down to 22 and add another teaspoon or just hope ?

Or will the temp kill the first yeast and give me an off taste ?

Less haste more speed me thinks.

It may well kick of when it gets down to a temp it can work in, you might get some odd tastes though that depends on what yeast it is, you could try putting the DJ into a bucket of cold water with some ice in it to get the temp down as quick as possible and once it hits 20c or so take it out.

It will be fine i used to make my wines 4 at a time and just guessed how much hot water from the kettle to add before taking a temperature reading, one day for some reason i didn't put an equal amount in and one was 28+ it still worked.

Ideal Wine Fermentation Temperature Ranges. According to yeast producer Wyeast red wines should be fermented between 70 and 85 degrees F (20-30 degrees C). You'll get better color and tannin extraction at the higher end of this spectrum.

If it fails to start in a couple of days i would throw in another teaspoon you might even get away with not heating it as our houses are warming up a bit. (20c in my kitchen today WineBuddy Sav Blanc fermenting at 22c with no heat source added))
