Ordered myself a BIAB starter kit and noticed upon arrival that the wort chiller was simply a copper coil with no means of attachment to a faucet/hose etc. After some thinking I've realised its intended to be attached to a garden hose via jubilee clips. Unfortunately, my flat doesn't have a garden hose!
My previous brew day I managed to attach a 9mm pvc line to one end of the coil (luckily a perfect fit) and hold it under the faucet, flowing through at an incredibly slow pace...not much faster than allowing it to simply cool on its own.

A slightly convoluted solution I've come up with is to buy a small garden hose, screw it onto the faucet at one end using an adapter, and jubilee clip the other end to my chiller. A much easier solution however, would be to get my hands on some sort of adapter for my faucet that can allow me to simply attach the other end of my 9mm pvc line - does such a thing exist? Failing that, has anyone encountered a similar problem and solved it?

Depending on your type of tap would one of these do the job?

Depends on the kitchen tap. For mine I used the hoZelock tap adaptor. This gets you to 1/2” or 3/4” bsp. Then I run a 3/4” washing machine cable to a 3/4” bsp to 1/2” bsp adaptor. Then I bought a 1/2” bsp to 10mm compression adaptor to the coil.

I got the one in Chippys pic...I put two short hose lengths on the chiller with jubilee clips and attached hose connectors. I then cut the remaining hose to length putting an opposite connector on both and the tap fitting on one, leaving a plain end on the other to put into the sink. You can get some compression fittings that may fit your chiller to make a permanent hose connector.

Apologies for the very late response. After a very long time searching for a 1" fBSPto 3/8" barb adapter (which would be the ideal solution) I've instead settled on buying one the hozelock adaptors for my faucet - not the one in Chippy's picture but one fairly similar. If all goes to plan I should be able to attach one end to the faucet, and the other to the chiller via jubilee clip and end my brew days with a nice cool wort.

Thank you for the advice.
