Woah - it's a lively one!!

Never had a beer ferment so vigourously as this one.
Same yeast, same grains, same temperature.

What's going on?

humidity is probably responsible.

i'm not sure how safe you are but consider a blowoff tube! :

Mine had a habbit of doing that on the second night after brewing...I usually missed it as I never check them really until finished

Mine is normally locked in a cupboard but it;s full at the moment.
The only reason I though anything was unusual is the liquid in the air-lock had been completely blown out and had dried on top of th fermenter.
I'm using bourbon at the moment (run out of vodka) hence the funny colour

the extravagance.... using vodka and bourbon in an air lock !
what's wrong with the old mixture of Sod. metabisulphite....

keep the spirits for drinking.

just use boiled water for the airlock
