Whoohoo - no infection in my MkII Tropical Stout last night.! 16 days in the FV, steady FG of 1020 (under attenuated, as expected!) and smelling/tasting lovely. Bottled 20 x 500ml bottles and one 250ml tester, to be opened in a week's time to sample.

Hopefully we have enough time before posting our brews for it to condition nicely. Looking forward to trying other versions.

I was hoping to be in for this, brewed mine early September and bottled early October while I was at my parents house. Still haven't tried any, but the issue is, the bottles are all still at theirs and it's possible I'll not be there again until December. 🤦 So I may have to drop out unless I can find a way around

I must be about time for a roll call. I haven’t been able to brew for this one unfortunately, I’ve had a somewhat distracting couple of months recently. The good news is normal brewing service is being resumed, and I‘ll sort out the swaps for this brew. i’ll look forward to the reviews, and I’ll try to squeeze a tropical stout in somewhere next year.

First glass of my attempt - really pleased with it. Has come out much darker in the glass then the previous samples had suggested. Getting boozy fruit cake with a surprisingly smooth finish considering the relatively high FG.

Looks the part and sounds delicious! I'm holding off until Monday (a week in the bottle) to sample mines. Must. Resist. Opening.
