Gonna Put it under my stairs I have a heat mat from my puppies if it's not warm enough all in its £46.75 with a sweet newkie beer kit and brewing sugar, is beer enhancer optional or do I need itTurkey baster! Great for taking a sample for the trial jar. Should be about £1.
Where are you putting the bucket? What temp is the room usually at?
Yeah I don't need them immediately though do I I haven't heard good reviews of the Wilko capper are screwtop bottles just as good as I'll get them onlineSome members just put the hydrometer in the FV.

That's good for keeping stuff from touching and contaminationProbably not useful to you but I got this stainless tool hanger. It’s 34cm long pre drilled holes and I think the bends are at 29.5cm ish so I use it to bridge a stainless steel vessel. Also picked up the hanging spatula so that hangs off the stainless steel vessel.

Ah didn't I list that yeah ordered that cheersYou'll need a large plastic spoon for mixing the brew
Was there a difference between regular sugar and brewing sugar as brewing sugar is far more expensiveOh cool. That might be warm enough anyway without the mat. They also do a timer plug for £4 that you can use to toggle on and off in 15 minute increments if needed. I have one but I brew in a cold shed.

I've not used brew enhancer, just regular sugar before moving on to brewing sugar. I am planning on trying it just to see if it's worth it. I'd say not to bother at this point so you have a base reading and try it in future. But it's your call.
I just use a stainless spatula for mixing. Works well and was in the kitchen anyway.
I'm gonna try the bottles but I'll order them online as it'll be a few weeks before I need them yetYou'll need one of these Wilko Pressure Barrel 25L | Wilko or some bottles. The Coopers PET bottles would be my choice, I thought Wilko does them but can't seem them on the website
You'll want one of these as well then Little Bottler Complete (brewuk.co.uk)I'm gonna try the bottles but I'll order them online as it'll be a few weeks before I need them yet

Biggest difference is time - yeast prefer monosaccharides such as glucose/dextrose or fructose. table sugar is a disaccharide so has to be split first. Lighter ales may taste a bit different using sucrose too.Was there a difference between regular sugar and brewing sugar as brewing sugar is far more expensive
