Has anyone else noticed they are individually numbered on the inside? I've got most of the numbers 1-24 so far.

But WHY????

I've noticed this on mine too. Not from Wilko. Last bottle day I was wondering the same thing. Mine have different numbers on the inside and outside.

It's so you can keep count of how many pints you've had. Stops at 24 cos you'd be dead after that.

I'm kinda thinking its the number of the machine that pressed them. Then if they get reports of mis-shaped caps etc they can narrow it down to one machine?

its the stamp that fits in to the machine that press them out which have the numbers
I ran a machine when I was about 20 that stamped out tops

just had one
I know what I am on about its a metal dye that fits in to the machine that's stamps out the tops if it come out wrong then they know what dye it is
