Hi, I found a recipe online a while ago for a brew in the style of Tynt Meadow (Trappist). I took note of the ingredients, but now can't find the link. My question is, when should I add Candi syrup to the brew? I've found lots of different info online (and maybe my question has lots of different answers!). I was going to add it 30 mins into a 60 min boil. Others have noted adding towards the end, whilst I've also seen reference to adding at 45, 30 and 15 mins (1/3 each time). As this is my first use of this ingredient I'm curious to know what others on here have done. I'm using c.50 g (13l brew) of D-90. Thanks.

I don't think that it needs to be boiled for that long, just to sterilise it really. Top tip I saw though was to put it in the hop spider if it was candi crystals, that way they didn't just fall to the bottom of the boiler and get cooked on the element.

I’ve used candi sugar a couple of times now,
Couldn’t find any info when to add so went for 30 mins in the boil so well dissolved and added these into my hop spider as said so didn’t just sink to bottom. Brews have worked well and bumped up the OG for an imperial stout and a Belgian/Scottish golden ale.

Thx. Am hoping to make the brew this weekend, looking at adding at around last 10 mins as its in liquid form. Hopefully will get a nice 🍻
