Virgin Bourbon. It goes in the eggnog and helps preserve the figgy pudding that gets saved for next year!

I live in one of two states where you can get it.

Right now I have two strong ales, a borderline IPA, and an American wheat beer bottled and ready to consume.

All the Best,
D. White

Just did a witbier with a litte 250g biscuit malt addition for giggles. Don't know whether to use the CML Belgian or the kristalweizen. I know I can bottle it in 6 day with the kristalweizen but no idea about the Belgian. Pfffftt... might just brew again tomorrow and do both.

I would keep the hop aroma to a minimum for a stout , even American stouts have a very light touch to the dry hop. However the more experienced members will guide you far better than I can. Enjoy :beer1:

Have got a black cherry faux port that's been laid down since last summer, a spiced Mandarin mead and some porter. All I want for Christmas..... is a nice bottle of armagnac and I'll be as happy as a mollusc.

and an oatmeal stout with 28% flaked oats. Can't wait for this this one to be ready. Adapted from a commercial recipe from 1903. I can't imagine how they would have sparged such a mix. No problem in a bag, though.
5.75% abv and 6% abv respectively.[/QUOTE]

Had a taste of the Christmas beer last night. It works well. The mandarin flavour isn't as pronounced as I would have hoped for but MB is a good clean flavour/aroma hop, which I shall do again. Maybe it develop with age as it hasn't had the full 6-weeks conditioning yet.
About to have a crack at The Barons red rye beer for tonight's over-night mash. It won't be reddy for Christmas though. If I can get it red enough, it's going to have to be called "The Bloody Red Baron". Here goes.

My Christmas beers will be My Double IPA "OhMyyyPA", Denis King's Galaxy Delight (Definitely need more Galaxy though), my "No Frills" English bitter and my Funktown Pale Ale, if it's ready by then.

Such high hopes for the Funktown....

Any of the ones in my signature besides the Tripels, though they are the most preferred by the not-as-serious beer drinkers. I think of dark, heavy, high ABV beers for the winter. I'll be drinking them year round though as well.

Kolsch is a waste on the Fosters brigade....get them what they like. They will still think your kolsch tastes odd because it doesn't taste like Fosters but will drink it because it's free..

Got my Christmas Pudding wine good to drink and my experimental Impy. Both have been sat in the shed for nearly 4 months.

What's in the funktown pale ale

Knocked up a Peanut & Vanilla brew this afternoon while recovering from a very late night watching the Election results. I'm not really sure about this one so it is only a 4.5 Litre effort. Using Kweik yeast it'll be drinkable in a couple of weeks.
500g Extra Dark - Dry Malt Extract
200g Dark Crystal. Steeped at 70* for half hour.
60g Dark Brown Muscavado Sugar
100g Peanut & Vanilla Powder
6g + 6g East Kent Goldings Hops - Pellets
Norwegian Kweik Voss Yeast
4 Litres Spring Water
Original Gravity 1070.

Will move it away from best curtains before bedtime, It'll be working in a couple of hours, amazing how it wants to settle and clear only a couple of hours after placing in Demijon.
