Right so I've got a Tom Caxton bitter that should be ready tomoro not tested yet but it's been 2weeks any way I've been planning to pressure keg it but have just givin a load of bottles but have no caps or capper should I just keg it or can it sit for a while before I can get my hands on the equipment needed
 
I would just keg it and save the bottles for your next brew. Make sure that you take a reading before kegging though

If it's been fermenting 2 weeks in the warm don't forget to move it into the cold for a week anyway to settle
 
What before kegging it ? Does anyone have suggestions for a cold place as my home is gunna be pretty warm all over now till at least late september
 
Do you have a stone or concrete floor, e.g. in the garage? Even if the air temperature is a bit warm the floor should be cold and suck heat out the FV.
 
Yeah think it'll have to be the shed just the task of clearing room in there lol guess it will be essential for future brews no better motivation.
Anybody got any ideas on how to chill a pressure keg to a drinkable temp
 
Right I've tested it its at 1011 it's clear tastes quite nice already a bit sickly sweet twangy but hopefully conditions itself out there's no head on it in fv sum very small bubble patches is it time to keg ?
 
Move the FV into the shed for a week first. Shouldn't really taste sweet but if it's 1011 that's about as far as kits ever go.

The problem of chilling a pressure keg is why I always bottle except in winter!
 
Does it not have to be at room temp for the yeast to munch up the priming sugar or do u bring it to room temp again thanks
