What online shop do you use?

As I live in the middle of nowhere and have to travel miles to just get to a shop. Could anyone recommend an online shop I can order bit and bobs from which also doesn't cost the earth.

It all depends on what you want.

Thanks! I didn't know that. They will come in handy. Though also looking for sites where I can buy airlocks, bungs, caps etc as well? I mostly brew cider and always on the look out for things.

I use a mixture of them. Some for malt & hops others for small bits like fv locks & corks (usually ebid.net for them as it is cheaper than some others).
If you want hops & malt then the MM is good. for kits I don't know as I don't use them

I use BrewUK (a few times now) and (only once so far) The Malt Miller.

Absolutely delighted with both.

I first used a supplier who can't be named, but after some very lengthy delays and very poor communications decided against using them. Aided of course by some comments on here too!

I had to go else where with a £150 order that me and some friends made due to The Homerew Company forum sponsor not having Tyne and Wear on their list of County's but I have just checked and it's on now so my next order will be through them as I rather help support the forum :thumb:

The Malt Miller has the widest range of malts I've ever seen, a great place for hops and malt at great prices.

The Homebrew SHOP is excellent for any equipment you may need, I tend to use these guys the most as their service is top notch, they don't sell Whitelabs yeast though. They also have a wide range of malts and hops, hops are a little more expensive here though on certain types.

Hop and Grape is another good store and sells a huge range of equipment and they even sell their own custom made equipment (boilers, mash tuns etc.). Their website is a bit iffy though.

I've used The Hop Shop in Plymouth too. Good range, competitively priced, and excellent postal service.

I've used "Art of Brewing' for the first time today as I didn't need much and their minimum order for free delivery is only £49 (lowest I've found). I did pay an extra £2 for express 24hour delivery, so we'll see if it comes tomorrow.
Had an email to say it's despatched, so customer service is good so far. I'll have to wait and see what condition the goods sre in when they arrive.

Oh... they have a reasonable range, but by no means exhaustive.

I know exactly what you mean by the last part of your comment, terrible terrible people.

I am pretty sure when I next need to order I will be going with our sponsors, I will need a fairly big order to make it cost effective with the free delivery, but it will probably see me through most of the year, and its the cheapest place I have seen the coopers kits I want to try!

Im excited about the day I have the space and know how to go all grain...will then be using the malt miller :party:

I'm lucky because I do have a proper homebrew shop within 4 miles from my place of employment, we finish early on a Friday so I can nip up there for yeast, finings, caps & corks and other sundry winemaking supplies.

Their hops are rubbish and their grains are extortionate, so for brewing supplies I use Malt Miller :thumb:

Prompt delivery and no postage penalties for living in Shetland. They'll get my repeat custom apart from anything they don't stock. :thumb:
