... this year, like leaves and things falling off trees?

Oak trees seem to be extremely reluctant to let go of their leaves, some near here still have green leaves.

There's also an apple tree which I walk past on the way home still covered in apples - no leaves this time just shed loads of apples.

Odd innit :wha:

It is very odd.
Not seen the oaks, but have an apple tree I can see here from my office window that is still absolutely chock full with apples.

Just thought I'd resurrect this post with a pic I took yesterday... (16 December) I'm sure when I was a lad leaves had turned brown and buggered off by this time of the year.

Must be global warming

Loughborough is dusted with snow, and I think all the leaves are gone...

We've had some snow and plenty of frost .. it's hardly tropical here .... but these leaves are refusing to die .. could be zombie leaves I suppose

The oaks might just be waiting for santas elf and saftey to tell em to drop em

The climbing Rose that i planted 3 years ago is flowering and has about 5 dozen new buds on it  i can't believe it after snow & frosts combined with prolonged low temps(not that i'm a rose expert). :hmm:

Doo doo doo doo. Doo doo doo doo

(Twilight zone music)

I thought you were on about morris dancing, wassailing and so forth...

I kind of like the idea of it in a way. When I go to Germany and look at their festivals, they are really good fun. UK ones are just wet and miserable and full of crap games, crapper food and no drink. When there is any drink it is either vile concoctions or baileys hot chocolate, which lets face it, itsn't exactly right.
