We make our own pickled onions, might be pickling a few other things this year as we enjoyed the onions from last year.
I cook 'real food' more nights than not, nothing flash, all from the local supermarket, but good and tasty
I've not shot my own meat for years, but many years ago a mate and I used to make a lot of money (for mid teen lads) by shooting rabbits for the local farmer, then flogging them to the game merchant, a quid a dozen from the farmer and anythiing like 50p a brace from the game merchant, incredibly good money for the late 1970s, or seemed it to us anyway
At one point we even had a buyer for the skins, sadly that didn't last too long though.
