SWMBO'd didn't let me anywhere near her GnT with squeeze of lime.
Can't think why.

Then on to Hardy's Pinot Grigio to accompany smoked haddock potato pie.
(that's tomorrow night's Claret settling behind the glasses, well it is a 12y/o so deserves some respect.)

This is my first Alt that I didn’t make myself. Maybe a subconscious thing going on but it tastes exactly like Utopian pilsner. I was expecting malty or bitter? This was the only type available unfortunately.

No, surely not. I have had both beers and I'm sure if you did a side by side they would be miles apart 😃. I haven't had them in the same session, but I have had that beer with my Altbier for a bit of side by side education.
