We make our own pickled onions, might be pickling a few other things this year as we enjoyed the onions from last year.

I cook 'real food' more nights than not, nothing flash, all from the local supermarket, but good and tasty :D

I've not shot my own meat for years, but many years ago a mate and I used to make a lot of money (for mid teen lads) by shooting rabbits for the local farmer, then flogging them to the game merchant, a quid a dozen from the farmer and anythiing like 50p a brace from the game merchant, incredibly good money for the late 1970s, or seemed it to us anyway :D

At one point we even had a buyer for the skins, sadly that didn't last too long though.

This summer I learned to make sausages of all kinds. I yet have to learn how to slaughter a pig, this will be much harder. :D

My wife could talk it to death......it would lose the will to live.

I used to go shooting (BSA Super 10 .22) but sold the gun when the kids came along, i'll probably start up again when they're all grown up!

I/we make home made pizzas (kids "decorate" them) i also make pies of all different types usually from extra meat that was left over from another meal, quiches, i like these for taking to work, i make sauces of all different types from leftover toms (etc), i also make (one of my favourites) sun dried toms in olive oil.
SWMBO also says i make a mess

Well I live on a working farm so fresh milk, thinking about making my own cheese at some point to.

I'm also an avid shooter so the usual game birds and rabbits etc Every year in Nov I go up to Scotland to shoot dear and bring back venison. :thumb: If you want a gun have a chat with your local officer they are really helpfully etc.

Pig slaughtering not a problem if you have a 12 bore shotgun, a good very sharp knife and plenty of boiling water to get the hair off.

Just bought a food smoker and christened it last weekend.

Beef brisket with a spicy rub, cooked for 9 hours, and also a joint of lamb.

Wow! Getting hungry just remembering it. :D

I am just going to have to stop reading this thread it just makes me want to eat food.

I do a bit of shooting as well, rabbiting and ratting, got a Weihrauch HW80 for the rabbits (nearly as old as me, it was my dads!) and a Crosman CO2 .22 repeater rifle for ratting :)

I grow my own chillies as well :D

i used to use a crossbow for hunting when i lived in the sticks(although it was a little bit overkill for bunnies!)

I do 95% of the cooking in my house. Absolutely love it. Go into the kitchen, stick my music on and I can be in there for hours!

I also play guitar and I make alot of my own effects pedals. Just started looking at building mybown valve amp as well.
