Really must do a lager/pilsner (on purpose).
Did a Maris Otter Golden Delicious recipe c/o @cushyno substituting Saaz for late and aroma hops.
Tasted remarkably like a slightly dialled down Czech Budvar Budweiser.

Sorry ,i forgot to list that ,
I used CML Gretel , First time that i have brewed this ,and first time using the yeast ,the wort smelled lovely and tasted really nice ,so i am really looking forward to this :)

Started with GH Cornish Tin Miner's Ale but adapted (changed beyond recognition) to use up some odds and ends for a 7 litre stove top brew:

Maris Otter 1583g
Crystal 170g
Brown 50g

Start of boil: 15g Challenger
10 mins from end: 7g Bramling Cross
End of boil: 7g Bramling Cross

Yeast: Safale S04

Boiled down a bit too much so added 1 litre boiling water before cooling. OG 1.056, a couple of points below target.

Bottled on 7th July with a FG of 1010. A bit stronger than intended at ~6% but the S04 has left a little sweetness - my previous bitters with Wilko yeast have been too dry. Drinking tonight after six weeks in the bottle, this is a good bitter with balanced hops and malt. Just need to work on the head retention!

A busy weekend brewing by my standards.

Yesterday kegged a malt Miller 5 points bitter (tasting lovely already), and kegged my first turbo cider which was made from raj frozen ginger and apple juice.

I'm now making a lager with:

3.25kg lager malt
750g flaked torrefied rice
125g extra light crystal
130g saaz
Mangrove Jack Californian lager yeast

I have brewed a variation of this that came out nicely before so looking forward to it in a few months

Day late but I brewed an old ale using Halcyon, pale chocolate, special b & dark Candi sugar with challenger & Northdown hops & a blend of 3 lallemand yeasts(Nottingham, London & verdant). Also boiled down a litre of pre boil volume to a syrup and added that back in. OG came in at 1.086

Today I poured two (2) batches down the drain! Life's too short for bad beer. So the Cali Common and the kolsch are no more. Frankly I need the empty bottles, and even the floor-space they took up. Bottles now all rinsed, washed up, sterilised and put away. Need to be brewing a few more 'banker' brews. Irish stout tomorrow, I think.

First batch in the new house (thus new water source). Cooked & started last week. Tuesday/Wednesday will see move to secondary & dry hoping.

ESB - I believe my supplier calls it Red Rock because it's meant to be fashioned after one from Red Rock Brewery in Salt Lake City, Utah. (Although Red Rock, Arizona is only 20 miles away from us.)

OG: 1.054
FG: 1.014
Abv: 5.4%
Color SRM: 8.2L
Hop IBU’s: 59.1

6 lbs. LDM
.50 lb. 20L Crystal Malt
.50 lb 40L Crystal Malt
1 oz Chinook Hops (Bittering)
1 oz Kent Golding Hops (Flavor)
1 oz Fuggle Hops (Aroma)

Simple, but I can use it to compare the water, some I used this recipe a year ago in our first rental here and it turned out well.

Today I’ve transferred 40 pints of Wilkos Stout into a PB , brewed this a couple of times before and bottled it. thought I would try it in barrel for a change and hopefully get a better head on it.

LDM = Liquid Diastatic Malt? Light Dry Malt?

Was in the Range on Saturday and noticed their MYO stout kits were reduced to £12.99 so I lifted two for convenience as I'm short on time ATM.
Was in Aldi today and picked up a kilo of balck forest summer fruits so tonight they're sharing the fermenter as I've often wondered what a fruity stout might taste like. The other kit I'll brew standard door comparison and the fruits only add 100g of sugar
