I've just cracked a GH porter for QC purposes having been bottled three weeks. Clear, nicely carbed and the change to Wilko Gervin pours a clear pint...tastes very good but needs a while longer...

Started early today!

The Cherry Lager (brewed December last year) has come into its own and is perfect for this very warm (>20*C) afternoon in Skegness!

The only problem is that at 5.25% ABV and 480Kcal per litre, I will probably be asleep by three o'clock!

reluctant trip to Asda with Mrs Clint...spied some goodies...6 cans of lost lager and a free glass..£6.. bottle of something new and a bottle of something for the Mrs..

Lagers ok...my kolsch by the way it's shaping up will have it knocked into a cocked hat...
My green massala chicken with a rogon Josh style sauce on the other hand,is most delicious!!

That bottle of Malibu (with Passion Fruit no less!!) reminded me of the Celtic Fan that went over to Rome to watch Celtic play A.S. Roma.

He wandered into a local Bar and when asked what he wanted to drink asked "What does the Pope drink?"

The Barman replied "Creme de Menthe" at which the lad replied "Right. I'll have a pint of Creme de Menthe then."

The old ones are the best!

Bulldog I.P.A. Not a bad kit for only a tenner. 5% too.

I started with a Cerveza lagered for ten weeks (superb) ...

... then moved on to a Cherry Lager (very, very nice) ...

... then the sun went in and I felt a bit chilly, so I moved on to a Mild from the King Keg.

Some cracking colourful beers up above!

Just walked up and down the Rivington Pike in Bolton so stopped of at the Ale House for left to right Kicker IPA by Wigan Brewhouse, porter and Pale ale from Bank Top Brewery!

Having a quick break with the family at a Haven holiday park. Best I can manage is Ghost Ship in the caravan, and Atlantic Pale or Punk IPA in the club. Managed a sneaky pint of some real ale at a pub in the North Yorkshire Railway today, however.

The WI Porter is pretty decent. I remember doing a taste test against one of my beers. The commercial one wins on things like dependable carbonation and reliable clarity. The HB wins on the flavour maturity and depth, both of which require a degree of patience!

I remember the GWI as being a bit reminiscent of plum as well as toffee. It is as good as a bottled dark beer really gets.
