An ale, a stout and a lager. One of each as I've got tomorrow off but I do get to play Dads cabs first thing. A Muntons Traditional Bitter, a Muntons Stout and a Wilko Delicate Pilsner.

One of batch 27, Polaris Pale Ale (Greg Hughes style). Very young, and very promising. Oh I'm gonna have so much fun this year :smile6:

Don't know how close the kits are to the stuff brewed in Louth but I love it. Their mild is great as well. But your right, it isn't a US style hop bomb

Do you still get your stuff from Grimsby hbc? It's my local homebrew shop but it's rare I go there as my work patterns at the moment mean I'm getting my stuff from Morley homebrew centre in Leeds. That will change soon, so must pop in some time.

Tbh the shop is on its last legs I think. For all grain it’s not the best although I do get sacks of pale malt there. I get the impression they are thinking of closing. I could be wrong but they just aren’t well stocked at all.
Ok for the odd yeast or seal for my barrels, but other than that, maltmiller or brewuk.

Drinking my second attempt at Westmalle Tripel. This time I exactly followed the recipe I found. My #2 effort is not as good as #1. It looks like I hit on a closer clone with #1 just by luck of the hops I had available at the time. But there were a few other differences. I worked to a different Sulphate/Chloride ratio (0.9 for #1, 1.1 for #2), and a different mash pH (5.2 for #1, 5.4 for #2). Difficult to pin things down until I've done the same brew loads of times, but I start to think that, in general, my brews done above a SO4/Cl ratio of 1.1 tend to turn out watery, while others in the 0.9 region turn out really rich. Going to weight heavy on the Calcium Chloride in future.

First pint from a new keg of Marlon's Pride........bit over gassed

I have had a good selection tonight.

First - a simcoe, cascade and rosemary pale from @Hoddy
then a didgeridank from tiny rebel and siren, a lovely double ipa/neipa type thing which was amazing
and now a Frambuzi, a raspberry frambroise by Tiny Rebel

Just had a Half Hours Aon Earth sour IPA with pineapple, and am now tucking into a Simcoe hopped homebrew. Tropical fruits all round

Still working through a selection I bought yesterday.

A dark destroyer which was a lovely imperial IPA - in a 500ml bottle and a Raspberry gose, again a lovely drop.
