Tonight one of my #31's. A failed brew, as in everything went well apart from the taste. Maybe I just don't like Amarillo ._.
Oh well, just a few more liters to go. #32 en #34 are waiting in conditioning, and #34 is ready for secondary&dryhop next weekend.
I don't like my Amarillo single hop either. Love Galaxy & Amarillo so I brewed the brulosophy Amarillo with 200g of hops and high hopes.
Pretty gutted by the flavour to be honest. It's 3 months old now and never got any better. Just having the odd bottle every now and then to get rid of it.asad1

So it's not me! Actually ab it of relief, I thought I was 'odd' or 'weird' for not liking one of the most popular hops.
190 grams in the fridge, I might use it as bittering hop somewhere.

I'd give it a go with Galaxy if you like that. They pair up really well.

This is the last bottle yay! The bast*rd decided to lose all co2 somehow! Gonna drink it anyways: closure is closure!

My wife spotted 2 6 packs of this in Sainsbury's earlier, she literally nearly jumped with excitement! Last time we spotted this anywhere was over 10 years ago... So yup, had a relapse, and yup it still tastes good! Especially for a Mexican cerveza! It actually has hop flavour, with even a hint of malt in there too. Probably the one Mexican cerveza worth drinking...

Oh and yeah, we left with BOTH 6 packs... :p

Just put a chilli on to cook, be wrong not to.

I thought I'd expand my horizons tonight:

It was nice with dinner but I don't think its something I'd have on it's own.

Mrs Clint took me out for tea as I bust me nuts earlier painting her shop...
Tim Taylor Landlord
Derby Penny's porter
Rudgate lemon hopsicle
Peerless Triple blonde
..now a Hb stout.

Tonight is a pale English / Belgian Pale Ale, brewed with a bit of wheat and a bit of caramalt. The only hop is a Styrian Golding, so it is not bitter.

The batch was initially split so that one half was done with MJ M31 and the other half with Danstar English Ale yeast. For some reason, probably fermentation temps related, it all got bunged in together after a few days. Whilst it lacks the real character of either style, it is not a bad drink. Bottled on the 28 May 2018, so well over 3 months by now.

Finally got a a proper chance to test my 1864 Lovibond XB (very very good head, bittersweet with some caramel somewhere, bit sharp on the sides of the tongue, successful brew!) and started off with some Lidl Irish Pale Ale. Nice hop, that Ella, a bit too fruity for me but all in all certainly not a bad beer.

Curry night ...again. Tikka Madras with a cheeky okra side dish...okra from my poly tunnel.
First beer a Boss Brewing boss black stout...nearly as good as mine!

100ml (i.e. the hydrometer tube :laugh8:) of my Kentuck Common while putting it in the keg. 2 pints of Batemans XB in the boozer with tea.

I am now going to drink the last of the party beers we have left, which is three cans of Carling. Shhhhhh.....

So many exciting styles to come as the temperature slows down.... Porter, red rye Ales, Barley Wines, black IPA, German style,s , stout, foreign extra stout, pumpkin , and lovely spiced Christmas Ales....

Cannot Wait.

Getting back to brewing tonight after a 2 month hiatus due to summer hols and other commitments. Stocks are dwindling... down to total 23 bottles made up of Festival Landlord kit, my "Flat Earth" Fuggles SMaSH, and a Cumberland Ale clone.

So, one of each tonight, just to keep the stocks even.

TIS THE SEASON TO BREW LAGERS FALALALALAA LALALALAA

Especially when one doesn't have a fridge so only has 'outside' as cold-fermenter chamber.

Had a few of their cans and didn't think much of them. Went to their bar and had the stout and it was lovely. I also had a lighter coloured beer and that was nice too

Now drinkjng a peaches and cream from tiny rebel. A lovely looking pint. Didn't get much peach flavour or aroma to begin but now it's been sat there a little while it tastes lovely

A bottle of Fullers ESB. May come as a shock to some, but not tried it before. Rather delicious if I'm honest, they're not wrong about the marmalade notes.
