I have 4 affligem glasses 'gratis' (free) from a previous trip to Belgium.

it's a tidy beer :thumb:

just finished a 75cl bottle of brigand which I have to say is still pretty darn good.

Brigand....I haven't come across that one yet. I'll keep my eyes open next time I visit Belgium. Or.....there's a Belgian bar in Canterbury, - La Trapiste - they do a great range in there. Maybe, I'll pay them a visit this holiday...... if SWMBO gives me permission....you never know...!
Getting my mits on a genuine Affligem glass is on my bucket list..! :thumb:
Tonight's tipple is homebrew - Smuggler's Special and Admiral's Reserve:drunk:
Merry Christmas to you & yours

I finished the last two bottles of Woodfordes Wherry this evening! (Sob! Sob!)

Bottled on the 1st July this year, the last two bottles tasted superb so the next batch will be started in the New Year when I intend to use my new toy to control a Heat Pad.

We are currently celebrating the arrival of Christmas with a wee sippy of Glenmorangie! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Merry Christmas to all the other insomniacs! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

were you not expecting a cherry beer?

or was it a Belgian red ale you were after?

I think it's ok but the kasteel rouge is more my type of cherry beer.

Knew it was a cherry but just tasted too strong. Usually don't mind strong alcohol taste but not when hangover

Got a selection of goodies for today that I've been saving up including :
Kernel London Export Stout
Sixpoint Resin
Saison Dupont
Anchor Porter
Rochefort 6 & 10
Westvleteren XII
Plus a few homebrews, a Berliner Weisse, a 2 yo lambic, 3 different Belgian quads, 3 different Imperial Stouts...
Might regret it when I start work tomorrow at 10:30

Better get started now then Steve that's some beer to drink in one day.

Just started with an Eldon Bourbon barell aged impy stout from thornbridge. Probably a glass of red with Christmas dinner, got a dessert wine for afters. Then work through a few homebrews. Citra marris smash, dunkelweizen, milk stout, Belgian dubbel, DIPA, then my Christmas present two yellow belly stouts from buxton. Hic!
