I had a pint of Celt experience golden age in my local a nice pint, and now drinking a Innis & gunn, not that good but I have another bottle so will drink that before going Belgian
Is that like going commando, but without socks or something?!!

How is the book by the way? Have been looking at it for a while, but would appreciate your thoughts?

You lost me with the first sentence.

I haven't started the book yet, have another couple I want to finish first. I have had a flick through and there seems loads of information in there. The two main chapters are on Bierre de Garde and Saison. There are a few recipes which is nice but I am not sure how they work yet or if the ingredients are available. Once read I will leave a review.

'Going Belgian' - sounds to me like 'going commando', but with a difference. Look forward to a review, especially interested in the recipes....

I am nearing the end of my current book and will push this to the front of the queue. The recipes contain a load of French malt. But they provide some stockists at the back of the book

Bought a mini keg of Adnams Shingle Shells beer, mainly because it is hopped with Citra and Cascade.

Thought I would give it a try today. Not overly impressed, while there's nothing wrong with it, the hopping is so low they could have used anything and I would be none the wiser.

Pleasant enough pint, but not one to remember or buy again.

Oh well, only six and a half pints left.

after yesterdays 20 units

I cut down a bit and finished with brumbrew's excellent choccy stout. :hat:
beg steal or borrow some from him!

My direct taste testing can be found in this thread

It's good, but not quite the same level of hoppiness as the real thing, although I'm willing to accept the blame for that due to the way I used the hops (this was my first experience of a hop tea bag filled with pellets) as the kit provides plenty of great hops.

Had some of my Festival Old Suffolk, still a bit young I think
Now on Chairman's Reserve Rum
Trying to get the brewing ahead of the game so that I can leave in conditioning longer before I have to drink it

Visiting family for a few nights so brought a crate of tasters. I have started on the apple and raspberry cider. It's if if you need something cold to neck so might keep then for the summer

Got the last half dozen bottles of my HBC Apollo. Not a bad drop. Just got to keep the SWMBO away from it!

just sunk a litre of ultimate classics burton pale ale out the bottle, still not impressed with it and now got a shepherd neame 1698 strong ale at 6.5% a bit disappointing on the taste test, what next I wonder?
