Merry Friday everyone!

Starting with my light ale, bottled at the end of November last year, tried a few over Xmas and it had a very slightly harsh hoppiness to it. I used Nectaron hop oil in each bottle from this batch to 'dry hop' and maybe overdid it a little.

It's mellowed out wonderfully now though, very crisp, full bodied and lots of vaguely fruity notes.

I might have a cup of tea and celebrate just having had 4 hours sleep off the night shift..with another to go.
Yafxxxinhoo!
I've been here lol
The looks when I'm trying to buy a 6 pack at 745am are easily dismissed when you're coming off the 12 hour night shifts 4 days in a row

In the Lych Gates Wolverhampton with a Lymestone Brewery Heart of Stone from you guessed Stone (Staffordshire) Nice!View attachment 109312

I was at Lymestone Brewery last week for a tour/evenings drinking. The owner is a cracking guy.

Gave a great tour and all the time in the world to talk when I spoke to him after. Clearly passionate about his beer!

Even got me a ladder to stick my nose over the top of one of the tanks when I asked if they were still open fermenting.

Well worth a visit if you get the chance.

Re. Ladder experience.
SWMBO'D & I did many a brewery tour in our younger days with old open squares.
We were ALWAYS counselled AGAINST sticking our heads over the top and BREATHING in when climbing those ladders.
The CO2 could knock you out, instantly.
The guides all had their own salutory stories!
Drink :-
