Starting with my light ale, bottled at the end of November last year, tried a few over Xmas and it had a very slightly harsh hoppiness to it. I used Nectaron hop oil in each bottle from this batch to 'dry hop' and maybe overdid it a little.
It's mellowed out wonderfully now though, very crisp, full bodied and lots of vaguely fruity notes.

First wild garlic from the garden of the year made into pesto with Walnuts to go with pasta and this remarkably good for the price Médoc from Aldi.

Despite disturbing it, to tip the cask up at the back so it will 'give it up' stayed bright and clear.

Also snuck a pint of the Dunkel. Probably needs more lagering but the head retention and lacing was incredible. Now to leave alone for at least another 3 weeks.

Absolutely gorgeous scotch...
I was given a bottle of Lagavulin 16 many years ago and found it so foul that I ended up giving it away after only having a small glass of it, kinda cursing my stupidity now, tastes change and all that. Profoundly loving this one though!

I was at Lymestone Brewery last week for a tour/evenings drinking. The owner is a cracking guy.
Gave a great tour and all the time in the world to talk when I spoke to him after. Clearly passionate about his beer!
Even got me a ladder to stick my nose over the top of one of the tanks when I asked if they were still open fermenting.
Well worth a visit if you get the chance.
