This is how good kits have become, ok you have to add dme may be a dry hop, but when you brew outside they are worth doing over winter View attachment 108758
I have a soft spot for Simply kits (although my standard modification is to mash a couple of kilos of base malt and give it a quick fifteen minute boil) this can be done on a stove under an extractor fan.

Back on NZ pale ale.

Looks cracking Rod. Been a while since I've tried a kit beer but might try dabbling again. What's your advice to get the best out of these Simply kits?
Use Dme instead of sugar, i do the kit and with 1kg of DME and 250grm of soft brown sugar and swap the yeast for midland, or just use 1.5kg of DME

Bit of a delayed catch up from last night,
1. My Darkish hoppy bitter blend,
2. SWMBOd's preprandial Porta6 Reserva, later on shared with her pot roast beef,
3. My Kent Gold ale with condensation, and 4. same from above to show its clarity.
