Huzzah!
House move executed last week, it’s been…erm…memorable for want of a better word. 9 out of the 10 days here have been hectic with unpacking, sorting rooms out and innumerable trips to the local dump. Last Saturday turned into an all day bender in my new local which is a 20 minute walk away (the stagger home took considerably longer).

My new local saucerer carries the most delightful selection of wines and beers. This is one of theirs.

Nearly 2 weeks without a beer. I was going to wait until the weekend but the football is on and I have had an enjoyable ride on the bike today.

Same as yesterday, but with a slightly less lively pour. Basic light ale that went from primary, to cask, to keg.

There I was thinking that I'd stumbled across some kinda revolutionary brewing technique, but after cursory research found out that it's a process as old as time.
Oh well, it may not be original, but it's truly delicious.
It's going to take an effort of will not to empty the keg this evening!

Start of the weekend my pilsner to start

A dry (weather wise) Friday so I was able to use the Pizza oven and open this rather nice bottle of Bordeaux to go with it.

First try of my latest brew; a SMaSH brew with Idaho 7 hops, a bit lively but very nice, I'll buy Idaho 7 hops again.

In Wales with a Mantle Moho and a fire. The angle might be drunken but I am not!

A couple of whiskies, it's sort of become my Friday night tradition now...

I really thought the Speyburn was going to come out on top, I've become a huge fan of their stuff, but the Glenfiddich really hit the spot, but then I'm a sucker for bourbon cask single malts.

Couple of pints of a hull melon user upper I did. Pale ale malt crystal and lots of hull melon. Some hop oil in the keg and it’s a nice pint. Good mouth feel and decent aroma and bittering.

If this '22 is anything to go by, watch out Burgundy.
I did start with a Ricard and water, but who wants to see a photo of a milky murky cloudy drink that tastes of aniseed?

Been a while since I've had this magnificent beer

The fruit smell when pouring this is full on. Strawberries melon and gooseberry
The taste is full on lambic with a dry finish. Carbonation is low and it’s easy drinking for a beer that went into a keg at 7.8%. Not sure what it is now but it’s a good beer to drink. Lovely.
