Last one tonight but going down well
Glad you enjoyed it . This was called Exe Valley Bitter. It was 40IBU, but as you say a bit more wouldn't be a bad thing. I find with this brew that the second bottle always tastes better than the first . Cheers for the feedback@Nottsbeer exe (something smudged) bitter.
Been looking forward to this one as it's my favourite style and something that I like to brew often. This one doesn't disappoint, it's a lovely beer. Clear, copper coloured, nice frothy head. Aroma of earthy English hops, tastewise, restrained bitterness but to style, malty but with a nice hop flavour. Overall a fantastic beer, could quite happily spend an afternoon drinking this one, if I had one criticism, if you could call it that I think it could take a hint more bitterness but otherwise great! Inspired by your recipe. Looking at the thread I did note the trial jar after boiling was nice and bitter (mellow bitter!) but it obviously lost a bit after that. Will play with this one as it will be a nice summer beer.
Ok thanks I seem to be the only one!@micklupulo Photo problem posts moved here -
