Huel Melon and Bavaria Pale, smells nice, taste is overpoweringly bitter, must have completely underestimated the ibu when I brewed. Probably for the drain.
Sad to hear, BUT
All is not lost.
I made a overly bitter one like that, then blended it (mixed) with a different way-underbittered brew.
The outcome was.......amazingly balanced.
Even became the preferred tipple of my brother in law.
Completely by chance, mind you.
And my casking system allows me to mix easily.
So dare you make (or do you have) a suitable blender beer?
Just try one, mixed in the glass to get a rough idea........
If you can be bothered to go to my lengths, that is. 🍻

First drink since Sunday and it's bloody lovely. 😬

Happy Friday! 💪

And now my starter tonight.
My Camden pale ale which has gone dark and brooding, including the hops with a deeper citrus taste.
I think I have to drink this up in case/before it truly turns. 🍻
The peculiar image behind is it's dry hopping and 2° maturing replacement.
This time using both Citra AND Simcoe for the dry hopping. Wasn't in the recipe I followed for the first brew. 😳

That is a great suggestion, one that I had not thought of and one I will ponder. I fear though that laziness will prevail.

Tried my 1st dark mild after 17 days in bottle.

Gushed and the yeast (windsor) was floating all over.

Didn't taste anything 'off...

Will try another in a few days.

May or may not send in for the Feb dark beers.

2 and a bit weeks in bottle, No off flavours?
Sounds to me like S. diastaticus (a wild yeast) has crept in. 🙁
Watch out, those bottles could become glass bombs.

Still here and I’ve worked out the Golden Ratio, 4 hours ski, 8 hours apris

What could possibly go wrong!

Nothing!
Is that Red Bull with the Jagermeister? aka Flying Herschel or Jagerbomb.

Or milk?
It's called a Flying Cow,
Try it, it's amazing and the flavours balance really well! 🍹

Plastic bottles. Only primed with 1 drop each and none 'feel' too/over carbed.
